Marilyn Barrick

Dr. Barrick (1932—2007) was a clinical psychologist and consultant to schools, government agencies, professional advisory boards and a variety of mental health facilities. She taught graduate level courses for the Department of Psychology at the University of Colorado and served with the Peace Corps as a training development officer and field counselor.
Combining her psychological expertise with an in-depth spiritual understanding, she authored seven self-help books, including A Spiritual Approach to Parenting, Soul Reflections, Dreams, and Emotions: Transforming Anger, Fear and Pain, and coauthored Wanting to Live: Overcoming the Seduction of Suicide. She also conducted workshops in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
