Colleen Messina, a freelance writer, is also a full-time mother who homeschools her two children. Her articles have appeared in Guideposts, Angels on Earth, Home Education Magazine, Odyssey, Highlights for Children and Boy's Life. She received a full scholarship to attend a Highlights Foundation Writers Workshop.

Warrior of Light: The Life of Nicholas Roerich is her first book.
